Iran is a participant at the 2017 Lefkas International Folklore Festival currently underway in Greece, offering stands as well as art and cultural programs at the event.
The art and cultural programs at the Iranian pavilion are aimed at enlightening patrons with Iran’s various traditions.
Iran’s pavilion will feature the country’s handicrafts and paintings as well as miniature and calligraphy works, local costumes and books.
Iran's cultural attaché in Greece, Ali Mohammd Helmi, said at the opening ceremony of the event that, “Iranian people have always been on the path of global and regional peace.”
The 55th Lefkas International Folklore Festival launched on Tuesday will come to an end on August 27.
Some other countries participating in the international event include China, Vietnam, Peru, France, Georgia, Ireland and South Africa.
The Lefkas International Folklore Festival is a festival of traditional dances, music and songs from around the world.
